      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I see that the PA 2000 and PA 4000 devices achieved EAL 2 certification (EAL or Evaluation Assurance Level is a common US Department of Defense "hurdle" that firewall vendors have to jump over in order to even be considered in DoD networks):&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A class="active_link" href="http://www.commoncriteriaportal.org/files/epfiles/st_vid10330-vr.pdf" title="http://www.commoncriteriaportal.org/files/epfiles/st_vid10330-vr.pdf"&gt;http://www.commoncriteriaportal.org/files/epfiles/st_vid10330-vr.pdf&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also &lt;A href="http://www.niap-ccevs.org/vpl/?tech_name=Firewall" title="http://www.niap-ccevs.org/vpl/?tech_name=Firewall"&gt;NIAP_CCEVS: Product Compliant List&lt;/A&gt; is an interesting list&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Are there plans for PAN to be certified at higher levels, or with other accreditation bodies such as FISMA or NIST? EAL 4 is something I would assume Palo Alto would be shooting for.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
