Usage scenario for Change Monitor?

I took a look at the Change Monitor today but really struggled to find a use case for it. Does anyone use this frequently and for what?

The Change Monitor report displays changes over a specified time period - this can be useful if you would like to compare the top applications that gained in use over, for example, the last hour as compared with the period ending 24-hours ago. With this statistic you can see increase of specific application usage.

Do you have any reason you would look for specific application usage changes? The only reasons I can think of in my environment is if I was analyzing a data loss scenario or a DDoS.

I would say that one of the reasons could be DDoS - with this you can see if the traffic pattern deviate from the traffic baseline.
