Read-only Instant Messaging possible???

Hello guys,

I was just wondering if it was possible to have instant messaging as Read-Only mode. For example, gtalk, can receive incoming messages, but the user cannot respond back to them. Is there any way to configure or achieve this?

You could send it in as a new/change app request.

In theory it should work but it depends on how the protocol is constructed.

Well, I was wondering if you could get the script for any instant messaging app, and I would then try and create a custom app for read-only IM. Time to get back to some programming skills refreshed.
