Haveing alot of problems with Download Managers.

We use continue/forward on alot of downloads including exe's but the problem we are running into is when someone downloads an installer that in turn tries to pull down other files from offline, They have no way of hitting a continue page and therefore the installer just stalls and fails.

What is the recommendation to get around this especially for download managers.

My current case is a Visual Studio update, I can download the .exe but when i run the installer it stalls out when its acquiring files.

We had a similar problem

I tried 2 steps - 1 for the URL and 1 for the file

I'm sure there may be a better way,,,but I started with

create a custom URL group called Tech Sites

added the support team to a group called Tech Folks

provided a continue button the the web sites in the Tech Sites group

We still had some issues with those download managers - but this started clearing a few

second you might peruse APPLIPEDIA and see what the dependices are and include them also

that often provided a bit more info
