Port 5222 traffic denied after Google-base update

Port 5222 traffic is being denied after the google-base update. End users using xmpp client, like trillian, are not working. Any workaround besides explicitly allowing that port?

If the port is being blocked it is likely due to a security policy that doesn't allow this connection through, are you explicitly blocking google-base (google-base also uses 5222)?
