Captive portal and url filtering .

Does captive portal work with url filtering. Getting all sorts of issues with captive portal .I works intermittently. running 6.1.7 spent lot of time with palo alto tech.

You can use URL category under CP configuration.

If CP sometimes work and sometimes not then maybe you can run Wireshark on that computer to see what requests are sent out.

One URL I have excluded from CP is conn.skype.com for example.

Skype sends loads of HTTP requests against this address and CP has hard time sending 302 redirect back to every one of them (every 5-8th request got 302 back). And often HTTP request browser sent out never received 302 and was not redirected to CP.

After excluding conn.skype.com CP works pretty well.
