I have a manager that would like to setup an alert wheneever a certain IP address hits our network. Does anybody know of an easy way to do this without creating a security policy and just monitoring that policy?

Well if you do create a security policy you can set up "log forwarding" for that policy and then for example set up an outbound email as log forwarding action
That way the manager gets an email every time that policy is hit, no need for you to monitor 😉

That's actually what I found myself doing but not sending it directly to the manager 🙂
