PA 500 upgraded to PAN-OS 8 intermittend internet connecton

Im having issues with our internet connection. We have dual internet connection. For 2-5 seconds our internet will be disconnected for both ISP. This only happens when we upgraded to PAN-0S 8.0.1 from PAN-0S 7.1.6. Do I need to downgrade?

Is there anything in the system logs that could indicate an issue the moment you loose both ISPs?

Have you checked global counters, routing table, arp table, ...

Are your ISP static or dynamic?

Lots of issues that could be causing this. It might be worth skipping straight to TAC and having them take a look at it with you.

We did a similar upgrade in test environment and found that 8.0.1 seems to be less stable that the 8.0.0 predecessor. We are seeing things such as inability to download app, threat, wildfire databases. Inability to commit changes, GUI overall slowness (even for a PA200), and inability to reset the firewall from the GUI. This wasn't after the upgrade but after some time running.

However, restarting the firewall seems to have resolved the issue for now.
