Hello,

There is a device with vwire between L3 devices using dynamic routing protocol(ospf or eigrp).

I checked ospf or eigrp app-id in traffic log but there are only two ~ three logs for 2 hours.

I think they are few logs.

The communication between L3 devices has no problem.

I just wonder it.

In addition, I can not connect a device right now. I can do a next week.

Should I check session browser? Are there ospf or eigrp app-id in session browser?

If I find ospf or eigrp app-id in traffic log, may I think dynamic routing connection was closed by some problems at that time?

Thanks

KC Lee

Keep in mind that by default sessions only log when they close by default. These dynamic routing protocols are chatty enough that the sessions are likely active for very long periods of time.

You can change the logging to add at session initiate too. But even then the session will show up early and stay open with no further logging until it closes.

The session browser is the place to look for these active long term sessions.
