    <description>&lt;P&gt;OM3 is fine to use as long as you are under the supported distance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Generally, multi-mode SFPs use LED for the light source but I don't know for a fact that the&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;PAN-SFP-SX does.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello, we are going to connect our PA-850 firewalls with FortiGate-300D firewalls via multi-mode fiber cables and will most likely be using PAN-SFP-SX for the cable connectivity.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) I see that the specification sheet mentions only OM2 multi-mode fiber cables but OM3 is typically used nowadays. Can OM3 multi-mode fiber cables be used in our scenario?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) Are the PA-850 firewalls using LED or laser emitters?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks a lot&amp;nbsp;for that. I guess it should be safe to assume that, when both ends use the same standards (for example 1000base-sx), then we should not need to be concerned with interoperability among different product brands.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
