GlobalProtect gateway client configuration generated. User name: bozo, Private IP: 136.176.144.x, Client version: 4.0.0-90, Device name: clownmobile, Client OS version: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro , 64-bit, VPN type: Device Level VPN.

Why is the PA classifying the IP address given to the VPN session as private?

I don't think its a classification, more of a label...

Yes you are probably correct a label but an incorrect label, wouldn't this address be a public IP?

in a rfc thingy 242 chapter "B" subsection 8 then yes, but this is refering to the IP address allocated to your "Private side" of the tunnel.

perhaps "Allocated IP" would have been better....
