Hello,

Both methods can work. I kinda do this with another vendors VPN solution. I use the PAN vwire for the untrust side of the VPN device and then for the inside just plug into a port on the PAN so all terminated VPN traffic flows out the non-VPN PAN. That way I protect it from attacks as well as inside users since they are on their own zone.

Regards,

I am deploying two Palo Alto firewalls as VPN Concentrators, with an HA cluster of Palo firewalls that execute as Perimentral FWs of the network with Internet that are already in production. I would like to know if there is Best Practice for this type of architecture. My question if this cluster of VPN concentrators should be on top of the other clutter as a perimeter or can be behind the perimeter firewalls with Internet output also serving as a VPN concentrator. Thanks
