&lt;P&gt;The laptop probably has WoL (wake on lan) enabled, this makles the computer wake up when it receives a speciually crafted magic packet&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;you can set an interface in TAP mode on your Palo Alto NEtworks firewall, and hook it to a span port on the switch to listen for activitry, which hopefully will reveal the source of this packet&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;From the command prompt, run powercfg.exe -lastwake&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;this will tell you what is waking your device.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
