what means session end reason with tcp-reuse?

Hi All,

i having 1 application claim that their port is stuck on Syn send status and there is possibility causing by palo alto firewall. i did check on the traffic log .. it showing session end with tcp resue. i not sure is that tcp-reuse will causing the port hang?if yes any way we able to tune it?

one of our application port 2020 is stuck on syn sent stage... while doing nestat.

While we check on the Palo Alto traffic log it show session end with TCP-reuse

@Nono,

tcp-reuse means that a session is reused and the firewall closes the previously open session. Is the server hosting your application currently setup to allow tcp_tw_reuse while in time_wait?

Thanks for reply. i had check with my server team. yes the application is allow tcp_tw_reuse. if with this configuration is that possibility palo alto will cause their server port stuck on sync sent status?
