Hi All,

To enable SSL Decryption and to make use of URL categories to allow or block traffic based on the URL categoy , does URL filreting license is required or SSL Decryption can be used fully without URL filtering.

For SSL decryption, no license is required. This one and URL filtering are independent features.

Hi @snasheet,

As @Remo pointed out, URL Filtering license is not required for decryption but as per your comment:

"to make use of URL categories to allow or block traffic based on the URL categoy" - a URL Filtering license will be required for this. It is also highly recommended to purchase a URL filtering license if you are planning on doing decryption to make sure that you do not decrypt health/banking/medical categories etc as per the legislation in your country.
