After installing a new PAN-OS and going to Device/Software tab, it's blank. Nothing there, not even the old PAN-OS. Any help is appreciated.

Hey @jmarchant,

What about after clicking the "Check Now" button bottom left? Is the FW licensed with the Support License? You'll need that to do software upgrades.

Cheers,

Luke.

Hi @Salathiwe

The list of available images in Software is generated by cache which firewall maintain locally. This cache is not updated automatically but on demand after you click "check now". Check now will instruct the firewall to connect to update server and get the latest list of available images. On only installed firewalls, as you can image no such cache is generated, so you need first to click on "check now".

If firewall has network connectivity and valid support license it will be able to contact update server and populate the list. If you don't have support license, or network connectivity FW will show popup error message.
