What is the minimum number of interfaces in an aggregate interface, will config commit with a single interface?

Yes, the config will commit with single interface which is bound to aggregate interface.

@ausafali88,

You can easily configure this with a sole interface if that is required; you can also have an ae configured without any interfaces assigned and the commit will work perfectly fine, you'll just have an additional warning that there aren't any interfaces assigned to the ae.
