Hi all ,

As all you know, the throughput measurements definition changed with 9.0 version. But there are two values forexample PA-5220 firewall throughput value is seen as 17/20 Gbs . So why we are using two values here? What does HTTP/appmix transactions mean? How we compare this new measurement with previous ? Also how we calculate this new measurement?

Thanks

Hey @Retired Member

The appmix value is supposed to show throughput which is more closely mirroring real network traffic; as we all know, 64KB HTTP transactions is not reflective of 'standard traffic' so the throughput value can be a bit inflated here. When testing the appmix, as it says on the tin, a mixture of applications (which are undisclosed) like Facebook etc to measure the throughput.

Cheers,

Luke.
