&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN class="uicontrol"&gt;&lt;A name="ID0EOX1U" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;/A&gt;Promotion Hold Time&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;—Enter the time that the passive peer (in active/passive mode) or the active-secondary peer (in active/active mode) will wait before taking over as the active or active-primary peer after communications with the HA peer have been lost. This hold time will begin only after the peer failure declaration has been made.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class="uicontrol"&gt;&lt;A name="ID0EC31U" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;/A&gt;Preemption Hold Time&lt;/SPAN&gt;—Enter the time in minutes that a passive or active-secondary peer waits before taking over as the active or active-primary peer (range is 1–60; default is 1).&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
