Palo Alto VM firewall registration

Dear All,

I am a beginner to this platform and I successfully dowmnload a copy of PAN-VM-7.0.1.ova from the internet to start hands-on practice. I am trying to register the VM firewall to the Palo alto support website for more features and trial licences, unfortunately, for 10 days I am facing a nightmare reason why I decided to seek for help from the expert.

When I am registering from the support website:

Device serial Number or Auth Code: *

Sales Order Number or Customer Id: *

I don't have all this, also the VM firewall does not have a serial number; this is where I am stuck and I need help how can I get all the information needed to complete my registration.

Hi,

When you download and install VM, the firewall won't be having any serial number by dafault until you install license using Authcode.

You can get authcode through email when you purchase. Once you have authcode in hand you can create a account youself.

Paloalto partner/reseller/AM can also create a account on behalf of you.

As far as I know, Paloalto won't provide trail directly to anyone unless a request is made through account manager or partner reseller.
