topic Does Palo alto on L2 deployments forward BPDU On RSTP? in General Topics

I have a PA-850 deployed as layer 2, on this palo i have 3 switches connected trunking 4 same vlans( 30,31,50,51) for each port to the switch, switches are from different vendors so I using 802.1w, RSTP as loop prevention, I know that on PSVT+ of cisco palo alto forwards the BPDU, but using RSTP Im seeing on each switch that is not receiving BPDU from the palo alto.

So palo alto on l2 deployments forward BPDU on RSTP as it does for PVST+

On the PaloAlto side have you configured the physical interface as Layer 2 with each Vlan on the Trunk represented by a Layer 2 subinterface tagged with a Vlan ?

For example :

Eth1/1 is the physical interface with the trunk switchport >> set as Layer 2

Eth1/1.30 subinterface >> set as Layer 2 + tag 30

Eth1/1.31 subinterface >> set as Layer 2 + tag 31
