We're using SAML and DUO, but through Okta, so I'm not sure I can specifically answer your question (we're also on 9.0). We did have some significant problems with logging in in general after upgrading to GP agent 5.1.0. TAC recommended we roll back to 5.0.7, and our problems went away. You might start there.

I am having an issue where, when trying to build out DUO SAML 2FA for GlobalProtect, I get multiple login prompt windows for DUO, and none ever authenticate through and allow me to connect. I've gone through the youtube video from DUO on how to set it up, but it still always continues to send multiple DUO saml prompts and I cannot connect. Has anyone else run into this and resolved it? I am using the GP 5.1.0-75 client and my firewalls are on 8.1.13.

How about that - I downgraded the client to 5.0.6 and the SAML double authentication thing went away - it worked. Interesting... I will need to look into their documentation on why that happens with the newer client. Thanks for the suggestion!

Sure thing. As a side note, we also found that configuring the portal to do a transparent downgrade from 5.1.0 back to 5.0.x does not work. It seems that car has no reverse, so you'll have to do it manually or with another solution like SCCM. If you end up opening a TAC case, and need any info about my original case for your engineer to reference, just shoot me a private message.

FYI, the preferred release guidance can be found here: https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/Customer-Resources/Support-PAN-OS-Software-Release-Guidance/ta-p/258304
