Want detach Gateway from Panorama

Hello team,

We have around 10 HA cluster managed through Panorama. now we need to detach/remove one HA cluster from it. Please guide me on the steps to be followed without creating any impact on production.

Also please confirm if it need downtime.

you'll need to remove the panorama ip/fqdn from the firewall and disable the panorama config

when asked you need to decide if you want to import the panorama config to local config, or discard, and then commit changes

depending on which parameters are copied to local and need to be committed (security policy/NAT/virtual router config, interfaces) there will be an outage

There are too many variables to give you a one stop answer to that

It depends on the config elements that need to be replaced with local config

Any routing changes will cause routed to restart

Security rules are less impactful if you time it right and if you

Nat rules could break sessions

If you can transition gradually that would cause least impact but will take more time

I would recommend you to keep rollback plan ready in case of any disaster situation. I had experienced issues in my environment while performing same task.
