we have implemented PA 820 in one of our client places now we are facing issues in hardware. We need to migrate the entire configuration to the PA VM series firewall.

Let us know the procedure to migrate the entire configuration from PA 820 to PA VM Series.

Modifying the XML file directly is generally what I would personally do when migrating from physical hardware to a VM series, because your interface aren't going to line up correctly.

If you aren't familiar with the XML file, you'll probably find it easiest to load a partical configuration and simply load in your rulebase and your objects. You can find information on how to do that HERE

Also you might face challenges with interfaces as the VM's can only have so many.
