Hi folks,

I am prepping the Palo Alto series exam to grab the piece of certification. However, i searched the internet and found there are two exam options which are seemingly pretty resemble: 1.PCNSE 2.PCNSE7. What is the actual difference between these two certification? Additionally, when i tried to schedule the exam on CertTrak platform (which means PearsonVUE) and they just provide PCNSE to schedule.

Best regards,

Kin252867

@kin252867,

PCNSE7 is probably something you found referencing an old version of the PCNSE for PAN-OS 7.0. Each PCNSE exam is based on whatever the current PAN-OS release is at the time you take the exam; so if you take it say tomorrow the PCNSE would be based on PAN-OS 9.1.
