Almost true, you need a license for linux clients.

is there a way to check GP license usage on the firewall? Our firewall license should allow 2000 GP connections but we would like to see how many are used at this time.

Thanks in advance.

@FarzanaMustafa,

Yes every gateway has its maximum limit of concurrent tunnel to connect to Global Protect Client and Clientless VPN.

For GP Client VPN, you do not need additional license. However, for GP clientless VPN, you need GP license on the firewall.

Now the limit given under firewall model specifications is nothing but its maximum capacity of number of concurrent tunnels. Each user connected to the GP gateway, forms one connection. So by seeing number of users connected at any particular time will give you the current concurrent tunnels established via GP.

This can be verify using below command under CLI or under gateway GUI, you can check same under GlobalProtect gateways configuration --> Remote users tab

show global-protect-gateway current-user
