Hello,

I've setup an OSPF Stub area with the below options on the ABR:

- Accept Summary [ unchecked ]

- Advertise Default Route [ checked ]

However if I look at other neighbors in the area they are not received a default route pointing to the ABR. Is there something I'm missing here or not understanding? I've set it up as a TSA according to the documentation and I'm expecting each neighbor to receive a default route pointing to the ABR. All neighbors have the 'Reject Default Route' option unchecked.

Thanks,

So the Palo Alto is the ABR?

Have you checked this article how to make the palo alto to send the default routes to other devices:

https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000ClfHCAS

Also check if the "Reject Default Route" is cleared on the firewall:

https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/9-1/pan-os-admin/networking/ospf/configure-ospf.html

If the palo alto is getting the deault route from somewhere before sending it to the other devices, check ospf database and you may even do ospf pcap to see if the Palo Alto is getting the default route or/and sending it to the other ospf neighbours:

https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000ClXqCAK

https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000ClEWCA0
