check if perhaps the firewall is mounted above another device that is giving off heat

I once had a firewall cook due to a server below it generating excessive heat and venting upwards

You need to check room temperature where the device is kept. Also sometimes temperature may go high due to dust on the device.

HI @MohammedAsik ,

Normally if there is dust on the firewall FANs and/or FAN trays, it may cause high temperature as it is for providing the ventilation & cooling for the firewall.

Hi

We have checked on firewall and there is no dust in the fans. Also firewall is not sitting on any other server.

So what would be the reason for high threshold temperature alarm ?

Regards

Mohammed
