    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Chirag,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As per the Policy-Based Forwarding concept, the PBF rules are checked before the routing table and if any match then the routing table is skipped and send to next-hop as per policy configuration.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So Security policies are to permit or deny traffic and PBF rules are used to decide where traffic should go to.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Suresh&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do we need a security policy, once the PBR configured in the firewall?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;OR&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;FW just forward the packet to the Egress interface and not look for the security policy.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
