Hi all, brand new user. Thrashing around on a new 2050 in test\learning mode. Thru maintenance mode reset system to factory defaults. 3.1.4. The admin\admin id\pw doesn't work. My old passwords don't work either. Anyone know of a admin password that it may be set to? Thanks for any light.

John,

After you do a factory reset and reboot, the system takes time to come up. After the system boots up the autocommit is a process which writes the config for the system to be ready as there is compilation of the content which happens as well & it takes time for the autocommit process to complete (approx 15-20 mins some times on a PA-2050). Please give it some time for the login to work. Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi,

A good indication for the finish of the bootup process will be the CLI prompt "PA2050". If you see something else that means the box is still trying to complete the process after factory reset.
