I want to confirm if I change the device name of existing device group in Panorama, will it create any issue in the configurations or settings.

Before you do any change, maybe you should consider also all tools which interact with Panorama in your company. For instance any Policy-Management-Tool like Tufin, AlgoSec, FireMon, Skybox Security, Cisco defence orchestrator or RedSeal. Or any Automation-Tools or scripts you have in place.
