Hi,

Planning for upgrading PA-850 to PA-3220, Just wanted to be sure that if we download the current running config from PA-850 and import it to new PA-3220 device, will that work?
Precision configuration of the PA-850 and managed by a Panorama.

You need to make sure new and old firewall have same PAN OS version.

Also you need to make sure which config is local on firewall and which one is pushed from the Panorama.

Regards

@PDelobel,

The biggest thing to be mindful when doing this level of a migration is the port interface differences. If you have anything past Ethernet1/4 on your PA-850 be mindful that these will be copper interfaces on the PA-3220 instead of fiber. You may need to change around your interfaces, but that's not difficult, just something to be mindful of when planning the migration.

Will the XML file from PA-850 be compatible with PA-3220? I used to use Expedition for migration, isn't that needed anymore?
