Are the application timeouts across the board for something like SSH? Meaning for user SSH connections through the PAN and admin SSH connections to the PAN that application controls the timeouts for both?

On the server, head over to the /etc/ssh/sshd_config configuration file. The Timeout value will be 1200 seconds * 3 = 3600 seconds. This is an equivalent of 1 hour, which implies that your ssh session will remain alive for idle time of 1 hour without dropping.

Usually, the SSH connection timeout occurs due to bad server settings, wrong IP hosts, firewall restrictions, etc. At Bobcares we often get requests to fix ssh timeout error, as a part of our Server Management Services.
