What happens if if whitelist some IP and then MineMeld is shutdown ? Will source or destination in the rule be replaced by 'any' ?

You mean what will the firewall do if MineMeld goes down? It'll use the last known copy of the list until MineMeld is back up. You'll see a message like this in the firewall logs:

Unable to fetch external list. Using old copy for refresh.

Nice, thnx. And if firewall had no copy of the list at all because Minemeld went down right after creating a rule ?

If there is no previous copy the list is handled as it was empty, with no addresses/domain/URLs inside.
