Week 18 Recap

Community Team Member

Greetings, Live Community,

Tell us how you liked two solid weeks of PAN-OS 7.1! We hope you learned a lot from this week's lineup, and that you're as excited about the release as we are! Access all PAN-OS 7.1 articles and videos on our PAN-OS 7.1 page under 'Topics' on our home page at https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/PAN-OS-7-1/ct-p/PANOS71.  We'll be sure to keep PAN-OS 7.1 content around for you even after we return to our regular programming next week (and you're going to love our new stuff--stay tuned).

PAN-OS 7.1 Per VLAN Spanning Tree (PVST+)  BPDU Rewrite

With PAN-OS 7.1, Per VLAN Spanning-Tree (PVST+)  BPDU rewrite allows the firewall to rewrite the PVST+ BPDU's VLAN ID (PVID) when it's forwarded between the firewall's L2 bridged VLANs.

PAN-OS 7.1 Classification Banners and MoTD

A new feature can force an administrator to accept the login banner before logging into the system. Admins can add a logon message (MotD) and allow Palo Alto Networks to add messages. The new feature for PAN-OS 7.1 also permits a customized banner at the top and bottom of every WebGUI page. You'll love this--take a look to see how it works! https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/PAN-OS-7-1-Videos/PAN-OS-7-1-Classification-banners-and-MotD/ta...
