Why do the status of AWS:RDS-002 alerts flip even though I didn't make any changes?

Resolution

Signature AWS:RDS-002 (RDS Last-Restorable Time Check) checks whether your RDS instance has a restorable image that is less than 10 minutes old.  AWS should be generating images every 5 minutes, but depending on the size of your RDS instance or AWS's load, it could take longer than that.  Since the last restorable time constantly changes, it is one of the few signatures that will flip in status even without user intervention.
