For those of you who were able to stream the “Your Move to the Cloud Secured” event on Thursday, September 20, 2018, we are glad you were able to participate and learn more about Palo Alto Networks and Securing a Cloud environment.

For those who were not able to attend for whatever reason, I will try to catch you up on what happened and what you missed.

The cloud is a big and daunting place, full of a lot of challenges. Securing the cloud can be hard, as you have to worry about Fragmentation & Complexity, Manual Processes, Human Error, and New APP Architectures. Your security needs to adapt, and your security strategies need to be broad to cover Mobile, SAAS, and Cloud.

Palo Alto Networks Vision of Cloud Security consists of:

  • Inline – Protect & segment cloud workloads
  • API Based – Continuous security & compliance
  • Host – Secure OS & apps within workloads

In the event, we answered the following questions:

  • Applying consistent protection across cloud environments
  • Embedding security in your DevOps processes
  • Automating incident response in the cloud
  • Ensuring new technologies—like containers—are protected
