New Cloud service offerings! Part 1 of 3 - Logging ServiceNew Cloud service offerings! Part 1 of 3 - Logging Service

Joe Delio here from the LIVEcommunity team bringing you an announcement for some new Cloud Service offerings. I will be writing 3 blogs talking about some of these new services, the first one being about the Logging Service.

But Joe, I am already logging locally on my firewall and have a Panorama set up to keep all of my logs locally, why would I be interested in this?

Great question, I am glad you asked.

Palo Alto Networks new Logging Cloud Service provides many benefits, including:

  • Leverages powerful, elastic cloud-based computing to provide analytics and insights on large amounts of data.
  • Simplifies operations by eliminating activities required to operationalize logging capacity.
  • Increases agility by allowing you to become more responsive to your changing business needs.

I know that having to deal with logs on a daily or weekly basis, paying attention to special threats and protecting your network from cyber breaches is a pain in the. Just ask me, I was the single firewall admin to a large company for years. So, anything that Palo Alto Networks can do to help make your job easier would be welcomed.

I know that it would have been a godsend to not have to worry about storing logs all the time. That’s the great part -- with the Palo Alto Networks Logging Service, we introduce a simpler approach, managing valuable security logs while enabling innovative security applications in concert with Palo Alto Networks Application Framework.

We also have the following video that helps explain all about the Logging Service here:
