About 2 Terabyte Local disk limitation of Panorama.

L4 Transporter

Hi,

After VMware ESXi 5.5 or later ,the maximum supported VMDK size on an VMFS-5 datastore is increased to 62 T.

Does it mean that Panorama can utilize more than  2 Terabyte with local disk but not to mount a NFS partition ?

Have somebody try this ?

Best Regards

Eugene Tsai

Not at this time.  Currently, PAN-OS supports a maximum of 2TB direct-attach VMDK.  If you need to scale a Panorama VM beyond 2TB, you must use NFS.

By default, the Panorama virtual appliance has a single disk partition for all data, and 10.89GB of this space is

allocated for log storage. If you need another 40GB to 2TB of disk space, add a virtual disk.

If you need more than 2TB, use an NFS datastore.

extracted by the 6.1 admin guide... unfortunately this limitation is still there  Smiley Sad
