Applications for Internet web browsing?

L4 Transporter

Hello

I am not doing SSL decryption on PA, then all internet web-browsing would be boils down to SSL and web-browsing applications, right? So in security policy if I want to allow internet web browsing then allowing applications SSL and web-browsing would be fine?

Hi @ghostrider,

Those 2 application might not be enough to cover everything you need.

When you check Objects > Applications and filter on Technology "browser-based" you will find over 900 applications.

These are not necessarily covered when you only select SSL and web-browsing.

Some applications don't need decryption to be identified as something else ... examples are google-base, facebook-base, and more ...

@kiwi thank you. So what I can do to allow my bluecoat proxy to go to internet without leaving application ANY?

Block unwanted apps by category. Or allow 'good' apps by category.
