Content Versions 706 & 707 - some explanation needed

L4 Transporter

Hello

On my PA200 PANOS 7.1.9 I installed 707 manually (because as usually automatic instalation failed), next when I sow emergancy update I did manually update again to 708. On my BOX 708 update is installed (according to GUI)

Do I have to reboot the device according to https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/Customer-Resources/Guide-for-Resolving-TDB-UPDATE-BLOCK-Issues-... or not?

Is someone who hasn't issues with automatic AV and Threat updates on PA200?

Regards

SLawek

You're good to go. Only PAN-OS 7.0 and older need to take any action, and even then only those who have been unable to install content version 708.

From the document linked:

This document applies to Palo Alto Networks devices running PAN-OS 6.1.x and 7.0.x. Due to
changes in how memory is allocated in newer versions of PAN-OS, devices running 7.1.0 and
later will not see commit or installation issues due to content versions 706 and 707.

Curiously our 3020 running 7.1.7 has absolutel crapped itself today.

It could be coincidence but it's been fine for the past six months.

We're on 708-4066 as of now.
