Content package downloaded but installation could not be scheduled

L0 Member

I get this error on a fairly frequent basis, probably at least a few times a day with 2 of my PA200 firewalls. It mostly happens with Wildfire updates, which is scheduled to download and install every half hour at 15 minutes past. I have the rest of the updates scheduled daily at the top of the hour and half hour marks, so they shouldn't interfere with Wildfire update and install process. The 2 logs that are generated are:

- Content package downloaded but installation could not be scheduled

- Failed to upgrade Wildfire package to version <unknown version>

The relevant output from "less mp-log ms.log" command is:

2015-05-04 14:45:34.260 -0700 File successfully downloaded

2015-05-04 14:46:11.629 -0700 Error:  pan_mgmtop_do_install_content(pan_ops_content.c:4643): failed to install latest WildFire

2015-05-04 14:46:11.990 -0700 Error:  pan_jobmgr_process_job(pan_job_mgr.c:1837): CONTENT INSTALL job failed
