GlobalProtect App deployment with gateway already configured

L1 Bithead

Hello,

I'm at a confusion regarding if it's possible for GP users to download the App with the gateways already configured for connecting so that they don't have to enter the gateway after it's installed.

My use case is easier deployment for single-gateway scenarios with/without GPO.

Or better said, i don't want to document the gateway for users in a circumstance when i mass-deploy the agent via gpo.

Thanks!

to confirm...

the users do not add the Gateway address, they need the portal address.

the portal app then gives then the gateway info on connection.

you can supply the portal address via a registry key in :-

(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Palo Alto Networks\GlobalProtect\PanSetup

this can be pushed to users via group policy

here is a link with more info...

Yes, sorry about the confusion between gateway and portal.

I knew this had to be in the docs somewhere...

Many thanks to you!
