Guest VLAN issues with externel services that we offer

L0 Member

Here's what we need to accomplish:

We have subnets on our networks that need to use our external DNS server (they are Guest VLANs for our WiFi networks). This traffic is visible by our paloalto firewall with layer 3 adresses (10.XXX.30.0/23). When we access internet with these clients we have no issue at all but when these clients try to access our web site or other external services that we offer, the DNS query resolve externel IP but it look like it tries to initiate the connection with the local server ip address (10.29.250.XXX).

The question is there any way to mask to internal IP adresse of the packets that flows from the Guest VLANs to the internet. If not what should we do to make our external services accessible from our Guest VLANS?

Thank you

In my opinion you are facing NAT problems. Please read about U-turn policies (You need U-turn policies that will allow traffic from Guest VLAN to your serwers in DMZ 10.29.250.XXX)

i.e. https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/docs/DOC-1678

With regards
