I'm in the process of designing a CyberRange for teaching and research purposes.
As such, one of the key elements is going to be to have key technology observing what's going on, actnig as the "Blue Team" tech in the Range, and to be used to help test and evaluate up-and-coming technologies integration and for comparison.
As PaloAlto has most of their products available in virtualized format, the incorporation isn't a major issue.
But i'd love to hear best practices and learn from problems/mistakes others have encountered 🙂
