Limiting number of recipients allowed per Email message

L4 Transporter

Hi all,

I am looking for a way to limit the number of receipients allowed (rcpt to:) in an email message (smtp). Anyone done this already ? Ideas ? Custom Signature with smtp-req-rcpt-argument-length ?

Thanks for input

Hi Roland,

Best place to check for customer signatures would be our Dev center. The link for dev center is

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/community/devcenter

This is the online community for customers, partners, and employees to share custom content including Custom App-IDs, Custom Threats, Custom Reports, XML API integration, CLI scripts, and other tools. Use the discussion threads to ask questions and receive help from other members. The current samples would be a good start. Have fun!

Hope this helps.

Hello Gafrol,

If you are looking at limiting the number of recipients who are getting emails from PAN firewall then we can set one group email ID in the recipient of the email server on the PAN.

Now in the group email you can add or remove users on the email client to better manage the users. From PAN firewall side there is only option to configure 2 email recipients.

Thanks

Hi Phoenix, No that's not what I am looking for.

I am looking for a custom signature to trigger when more than x rceipients are addressed in an email message (smtp).
