PA3020 fans always running at 100% speed?

First thing I noticed when I plugged this in was that it's very loud. Normally a device spins down the fans when it's at a cool temperature (which is pretty much all servers and appliances from the last 10 years).

So is there any way to change the fan speed?

If not, can I request this feature?

Ouch... so this is considered normal? Mine is currently running around 13,400 RPM average, and temps are between 27C and 35C.

Re: PA3020 fans always running at 100% speed?

Hi,

If RPM is the only concern, then it is fine. But if the fan is making noise then it might be a different issue. Ideally, during initial boot-up process the fan will rotate at a high speed and after some time it comes to a normal state ( after completing the bootup process).

Re: PA3020 fans always running at 100% speed?

It seems a bit excessive. Each fan is about 60 decibels (total about 70-72 dB)

And it stays the same RPM speed during boot up as when it is idle.
