Is there (or will there be) a vulnerability signature we can use to block exploit attempts?

If you are referring to CVE-2012-4792 ("Microsoft Internet Explorer CButton Use After Free Vulnerability"), that signature was added to content update version 346, released yesterday, Wednesday January 2 2013. If your update schedule on your firewall is set to download updates automatically sometime after yesterday's update, you should already have it. If not, you can go to Device > Dynamic Updates and pull down the latest Application & Threat update.
