Renaming a VSYS

L4 Transporter

Should I expect any issues if I rename a VSYS? I assume it should rename all VSYS names in the config where applicable?

Personally I would do this in a service window along with taking an offline backup of running-config.xml before the change... JUST IN CASE Smiley Happy Better safe than sorry...

It should not cause any problems. Where ever this vsys is used the name will be changed automatically. Go ahead with your changes.

I have seen ID-Manager indices associated with security rules changing when renaming them which did not cause traffic disruption. But renaming VSYS might cause a disruption,I would play safe with a service window as well.

I have renamed the VSYS, and everything seems to be OK.  Except, the logs are still showing the old VSYS name....
