Rest API call to clone URL Filtering profiles as "Shared" or "Vsys Specific"

L1 Bithead

Hi All,

I have 2 URL Filtering Profiles. One profile has the location as "Shared" and the other has "Predefined".

When I try to clone these profiles using the PAN GUI, I get an alert saying

Do you want 2 cloned URL Filtering Profile objects to be shared across multiple virtual systems?

If I select "Yes", the profiles are cloned with location as "Shared".

If I click "No", the profiles are cloned with location as "AMS-CPT-01F(vsys2)" or whatever the vsys name is.

How do I do this using the CLONE API on the PAN side? I only see two parameters "from" and "newname". Is there a location parameter as well? How do I clone a predefined profile as a "Vsys Specific" or "Shared" Profile?

Thanks,

Venkat

Hello Venkat,

The API is a community-supported function, and you may have better luck at the DevCenter, where scripts are posted:

Hope that helps!
